Seventh Chords

Seventh Chords are chords consisting of four notes, usually the Root, 3rd, 5th and 7th of a scale.

The types of seventh chords are:

Spellings for the most common Seventh Chords
Major 7th:           Root     3      5     7
Dominant 7th:    Root     3      5    b7
Minor 7th:           Root    b3     5     b7

Spellings for less common Seventh Chords
Minor 7th b5:      Root    b3    b5      b7
